Our Message

Construction site with stacked wooden planks and beams, some labeled with numbers, on a dirt ground.

Change begins when someone shows up. At Maria’s House, we make that first step count—quiet room, clear plan, steady hands. We sit shoulder-to-shoulder until the path is plain: skills built, papers in order, confidence returning. We show up early, stay late. Here people from all differnt backgrounds will find support and opportunity.

Maria’s House is a steady, welcoming place for adults who want to learn to read and write or earn the GED. We make a simple plan with you and teach step by step—reading, writing, math, science, and social studies in one to one or small groups. We keep set hours, offer a quiet study room and practice tests, and give hands-on help with IDs, forms, and exam sign-up. The goal is simple: real confidence and a credential you can use.
